Testimonials turn your happy buyers into your best salespeople. A few days after each purchase, Pocketsflow emails the buyer once and asks how it is going. They can write a few words, record a short video in their browser, or upload a clip. You approve the best ones, and they appear on your product page and on checkout. Testimonials are part of the Growth plan and above.
1

Turn on requests

Go to Catalog → Testimonials → Settings and switch on Ask buyers for a testimonial. Pick how many days after purchase the email goes out (1 to 60, 7 by default) and whether to offer video.
2

Buyers answer

Each buyer gets one email with a link to a short page: a star rating, a few words and/or a video, the name to show, and a box to tick so you may show it. Only orders placed after you turned requests on are asked.
3

Approve, feature or hide

New testimonials land under To review. Nothing shows on your pages until you approve it. Feature your best ones: they show first on the wall and on checkout.
4

Show them

In Settings, switch on Show a wall on product pages and Show testimonials on checkout.

The request email

  • Sent once per order, a set number of days after purchase.
  • At most one email per buyer per week, even if they bought several products.
  • Never for refunded, disputed or test orders, never to an address that bounced or reported spam, and never when the buyer already sent one.
  • The link works for 60 days.

Video

Buyers can record up to 90 seconds right in the browser (camera and microphone permission needed) or upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file of up to 50 MB. The file is checked when it arrives: anything that is not really a video is refused, whatever its name says. Videos are hosted on our CDN and only load when a visitor presses play.

Where testimonials show

A buyer’s email is never shown. The wall uses the name they chose, or a masked version of their email (j*****n@gmail.com).

Reviews and testimonials

A testimonial is a review with extras: the stars, plus the buyer’s consent, the name to show and an optional video. Reviews buyers leave on the thank-you page also appear under To review, so you can put good ones on the wall. Hiding a testimonial only takes it off the wall and checkout. Its star rating stays in your product’s reviews, so your rating stays honest.

Plan

Below Growth, testimonials you collected are kept, but the wall and the checkout strip stop showing and no new requests go out. Upgrading brings everything back.
