Tracked links show which posts, bios and ads bring sales. But many buyers come from places a link can’t follow: a podcast, a friend, a talk, a forum. The attribution survey asks them, right after they pay, with one question on the thank-you page. The attribution survey is part of the Growth plan and above.
1

Set the question

Go to Grow → Attribution survey → Edit question. Keep the default “How did you hear about us?” or write your own, and list up to 12 answers. Link an answer to a tracked-link channel (Instagram, YouTube, Email…) to compare the two in the report.
2

Turn it on

Switch on Ask on the thank-you page. Every buyer sees the question under their receipt. One tap saves their answer; Other opens a short text box.
3

Read the report

See how many buyers were asked, how many answered, and each answer’s share and revenue, next to your tracked links’ sales for the same dates.

The report

For each answer you get its share of answers, the revenue of the orders that gave it and, for answers linked to a channel, the sales your tracked links of that channel recorded over the same dates. Answers no link can track (a podcast, a friend) say so. The In their own words card lists the most common “Other” answers.

Good to know

  • The answer is saved on the order. Renaming an answer keeps its past answers; removing one keeps them in the report under their old name.
  • A buyer can change their answer for 30 days after buying.
  • Below Growth, the question stops showing. Answers you collected stay in the report.
