Pocketsflow includes lightweight email tools so you can publish posts, collect subscribers, and send updates without leaving the platform. The newsletter features live primarily in three areas of the app:
  • Posts – write and publish updates, announcements, and long-form posts.
  • Subscribers – manage who is on your email list.
  • Email settings – configure sender details and basic email behavior.
This guide explains how those pieces fit together and how to use them responsibly.

How subscribers are created

Your subscriber list can grow from multiple sources:
  • Checkout opt-ins – buyers who agree to receive updates when they purchase.
  • Link in bio forms – visitors who join your mailing list from your Link in bio.
  • Manual additions or imports – contacts you add directly (only if they’ve given you permission).
All of these contacts end up in the Subscribers section, where you can see:
  • Email address.
  • Basic metadata such as when they joined.
  • Whether they’re still subscribed or have opted out.
When managing your list:
  • Only email people who have explicitly opted in.
  • Honor unsubscribe requests immediately—Pocketsflow will handle the technical unsubscribe, but your content and practices should respect it.
  • Be mindful of local regulations (for example, GDPR and CAN-SPAM) when deciding what you send and how often.

Working with Posts

The Posts section is where you draft and publish newsletter content. Typical uses:
  • Announcing a new product or launch.
  • Sharing educational content with your audience.
  • Sending updates to existing customers about improvements and changes.
A basic posting flow looks like:
  1. Go to the Posts area in the sidebar.
  2. Click to create a new post.
  3. Add:
    • A title that clearly describes the main value of the email.
    • The body—this can be short and direct or more long-form.
  4. Choose whether the post should:
    • Be sent as an email to subscribers.
    • Be saved as a draft for later editing.
  5. Publish the post.
Best practices:
  • Lead with a strong subject line and opening sentence.
  • Focus each post on one primary topic or call-to-action.
  • Include clear links to products, your Link in bio, or other key resources.

Managing subscribers

In the Subscribers section you can typically:
  • Browse your list of active subscribers.
  • See basic metrics like when they joined.
  • Filter by subscription status (active vs unsubscribed).
Common tasks:
  • Add a subscriber manually when someone gives explicit permission (for example, they asked to be added after a webinar).
  • Remove or suppress a subscriber if they request to stop hearing from you outside of normal unsubscribe flows.
  • Export or analyze your list in combination with other tools, if supported.
When in doubt, keep your list clean and permission-based—quality matters more than total count.

Configuring email settings

The Email settings section controls how your emails appear to subscribers. Depending on your account and region, you may be able to configure:
  • From name – the name that appears in recipients’ inboxes.
  • From / reply-to email address – where replies are sent.
  • Footer information – legal text or business details that appear at the bottom of emails.
  • Default sending behavior – for example, whether new posts are sent to all subscribers by default.
If Pocketsflow requires you to verify an email address or sending domain, follow the steps shown in the app to confirm ownership before sending to a large list. Your Link in bio and newsletter work best when used together:
  • Place a newsletter signup on your Link in bio so people can subscribe without buying.
  • Mention your Link in bio in emails as the “home base” where subscribers can always find your latest offers.
  • Highlight key posts or campaigns by turning them into dedicated products or free resources on your Link in bio.
This creates a simple loop:
  1. Traffic hits your Link in bio.
  2. Visitors either buy or subscribe.
  3. Your newsletter brings them back when you launch something new.

Sending responsibly and avoiding spam issues

To keep deliverability healthy:
  • Start with warm audiences—people who already know you or have just purchased.
  • Avoid sending extremely frequent, low-value emails.
  • Use clear subjects and avoid misleading or spammy language.
  • Make the unsubscribe link easy to find.
If you see a high bounce or complaint rate, pause and reconsider your list sources and content strategy before sending again.

Troubleshooting

If subscribers report issues such as “I’m not getting your emails”:
  • Ask them to check spam/junk folders and mark messages as “Not spam”.
  • Suggest adding your from address to their address book.
  • Double-check in Subscribers that their status is still active.
  • Review Email settings to ensure your sender details are valid and verified.
