Pocketsflow has no monthly fee or setup fee for selling digital products. A transaction cost is deducted only when you make a sale, and every component is shown on the order before it reaches your balance.

What makes up the transaction cost

Pocketsflow platform

2% of the pre-tax sale. This covers your storefront, checkout, digital delivery, analytics, seller tools, and Merchant of Record service.

Payment processing

The card and banking cost of accepting the payment. A US domestic-card sale starts at 2.7% + $0.30. The exact amount varies by payment method, buyer region, and currency.

Tax handling

Tax calculation, collection, filing, and remittance when a sale is taxable. The tax collected from the buyer is never counted as your earnings.

Dispute prevention

Fraud screening, card authentication, and dispute-prevention checks applied to the transaction. A dispute itself can carry an additional cost.
There are no separate monthly minimums or setup charges. International cards, currency conversion, alternative payment methods, financing, subscriptions, affiliate commissions, and actual disputes can change the final amount.

How a sale breaks down

A partner commission comes out of Pocketsflow’s own platform fee and does not reduce your earnings a second time. An affiliate commission is funded from the seller’s share and is shown separately.

Worked examples

These examples use a US domestic card, no sales tax, no currency conversion, and no affiliate commission. The order detail is authoritative: it uses the settled payment and shows the exact cost rather than applying a generic percentage after the sale.

Common adjustments

The final amount can differ from the domestic-card examples when any of these apply:

Where to see the exact amount

Open Orders and select a transaction. The Payment breakdown shows:
  • What the customer paid.
  • Tax collected and remitted.
  • The total transaction cost and its effective percentage of the pre-tax sale.
  • Pocketsflow platform, payment processing, tax handling, and dispute prevention as separate lines when they apply.
  • The exact amount added to your balance.
The Orders API also returns the stored platform fee, processing fee, total transaction cost, effective fee rate, and net amount for reconciliation.

Small transactions

Payment processing includes fixed per-transaction costs, so very low prices can lose a large share of the sale even when the percentage rate is low. If you sell items below $5, consider bundling them or using a minimum cart value.

What buyers see

Buyers see only the price you set and any applicable sales tax. Your platform, processing, tax-handling, and dispute-prevention costs are seller-facing and are never added as surprise line items at checkout.
