Download limits are part of the Growth plan and above.
Turn them on
In the product editor, open the Product step and find Delivery protection. Switch on Limit downloads, then set:- Downloads per buyer: how many times each file can be downloaded per order (for example 5). Leave it empty for no count limit.
- Links expire after: how many days after the purchase the downloads work (for example 7). Leave it empty to never expire.
Existing orders
Limits never apply to orders placed before you turned them on, so nobody loses access to something they already bought. To limit older orders too, switch on Also apply to existing orders. What buyers see
- On their delivery page, under the download button: 3 of 5 downloads left · Link expires Oct 23, 2026.
- When they run out (or the link expires), the button is replaced by a short note with a Contact the creator button that writes to your support email.
- A browser retrying the same file within 30 seconds is not charged twice, and resumed downloads don’t count.
Reset a buyer’s downloads
Open the order in Orders. The Downloads card shows what the buyer used, what they have left and when their link expires. Click Reset downloads to give them everything back; the expiry window starts again from now. If your plan no longer includes download limits, buyers download without limits again. Your settings are kept. For developers
GET / PATCH /products/{id}/download-limits, and per order GET /orders/{id}/downloads and POST /orders/{id}/downloads/reset. See
