Buy more, save more is part of the Growth plan and above.
1
Set your tiers
Open Discounts. In Buy more, save more, set up to 5 tiers, for
example 2 or more items → 10% off and 3 or more → 20% off.
2
Turn it on and save
Switch it on and press Save. The chips under the tiers show what
buyers will see.
3
Give buyers something to add
A checkout gets more items through order bumps
(and a downsell taken after declining one). The hint sits above them.
How the discount is worked out
- Each product’s own price comes first: its list or variant price, any per-product pricing (early-bird, flash sale) and a discount code on the main product.
- Then the tier comes off the cart subtotal. One checkout line is one item: the main product, each order bump, a downsell. A bundle counts as one item. Pay-what-you-want products count toward the tier but are never discounted.
- Then the rest: a payment plan splits the discounted total, the payment processor adds tax, and the platform fee is taken on the final amount.
tieredDiscount), the receipt
lists it, and order.completed carries it.
Discount codes
By default a tier does not stack with a discount code: a buyer who uses a code gets the code. Tick Also apply when a discount code is used to give both. A code that doesn’t change the price (a flash sale or fair price was already better, so the code wasn’t used) doesn’t block the tier.Rules
- Item counts are whole numbers from 2 to 20, each tier different.
- Discounts are whole percentages from 1 to 90.
- A tier with more items must give a bigger discount.
- Below Growth, tiers stop applying at checkout. Your tiers are kept.
For developers
Read and change your tiers with your API key (GET, PUT, DELETE /tiered-discounts) or the get_tiered_discounts, update_tiered_discounts
and delete_tiered_discounts MCP tools. See
Buy more, save more API.
