# Newsletter recommendations

> Suggest up to 3 other creators when someone subscribes to you, and grow your list from the creators who recommend you.

When someone subscribes to you, the success message can suggest up to three
other creators you recommend. Each one is a one-click subscribe. In return,
creators who recommend **you** send you new subscribers.

## Recommend creators

Open **Settings → Grow → Recommendations**.

1. Search for a creator by their Pocketsflow subdomain. Only creators who
   allow recommendations show up.
2. Add up to **3** and, if you like, a short line on why (140 characters).
3. Click **Save recommendations**.

Each pick shows how many people clicked **Subscribe** and how many confirmed
subscribers you sent them.

## Let others recommend you

Turn on **Let other creators recommend me**. Other creators can then add you
to their list. Turn it off and you are removed from every list at once.

**Recommended you** lists every creator who suggests your newsletter and the
subscribers each one sent.

## What subscribers see

After subscribing on your creator page or one of your signup forms (when it
does not ask them to confirm first), the success message shows your
recommendations. One click on **Subscribe** sends a confirmation email: the
person joins the recommended creator's list only after clicking the link in
that email (double opt-in, always). Nobody is added without confirming.

People who are already on that creator's list, or who unsubscribed from it,
get no email.

## Quality and abuse rules

* Only active stores in good standing are shown: at least 7 days old, with a
  live storefront, never suspended, deleted or flagged for fraud. A store that
  stops qualifying disappears from every list until it qualifies again.
* Subscribe requests are limited per email address and per network, and one
  confirmation per address and creator is sent per day.
* Confirmation links expire after 7 days.
