# Drip content, quizzes and certificates

> Release course lessons week by week, quiz your buyers and give a certificate when they finish.

Turn a course into a program: lessons open on a schedule, quizzes check what
buyers learned, and everyone who finishes gets a certificate with its own
public verify page.

  <Step title="Group lessons into modules (optional)">
    In the product editor, open a lesson and give it a **Module** name, for
    example `Week 1`. Lessons in the same module are grouped under one heading
    on your buyers' course page.

  <Step title="Choose when each lesson opens">
    Under **Release**, pick **Right away**, **Days after purchase** (for
    example `7`) or **On a date**. The editor shows when someone who buys
    today gets it. **Use this for every lesson in Week 1** copies the rule to
    the whole module.

  <Step title="Add a quiz">
    **Add a quiz** to any lesson: single choice (**Only one** right answer)
    or multiple choice (**One or more**), a **pass mark** in percent, and
    optionally **Buyers must pass to continue**.

  <Step title="Turn on the certificate">
    Under **Completion**, switch on **Certificate of completion**. **Preview**
    shows it with your course and name. Save the product.

## What buyers see

* **The outline** lists every lesson. A dripped lesson shows a lock and its
  date (`Unlocks Oct 21`); a lesson behind a quiz says which quiz to pass.
* **Locked lessons are enforced by the server.** Their video and files are
  never sent before they open, whatever the browser does.
* **Mark as complete** on each lesson, and a progress bar for the course.
* **Quizzes** are scored by the server. Buyers see their score and which
  questions they got right, never the answers. A lesson with a
  “must pass” quiz completes when the quiz is passed. Up to 20 attempts per
  lesson per day.
* **The certificate.** Once every lesson is done (and every must-pass quiz
  passed), buyers confirm the name to print and get a certificate page with a
  PDF download and a public verify link, `app.pocketsflow.com/certificate/<ID>`.
  The ID (for example `7K2Q-X9MD-4HTR`) is printed on the certificate with a
  QR code to the verify page.

## Unlock emails

When a dripped lesson opens, buyers get one short email listing what's new
(several lessons opening on the same day share one email). It's sent once per
buyer and lesson, never to refunded orders, addresses that bounced or
complained, or buyers who unsubscribed from your emails. Every email has a
**Stop lesson emails** link. Turn the emails off for the whole course with
**Email buyers when a lesson unlocks**.

## Completion stats

The **Completion** panel shows how many buyers enrolled, started, finished
and got a certificate, how far through the course each lesson is, and each
quiz's pass rate.

## If your plan changes

Your rules are kept. Below Growth, buyers see every lesson open and no
quizzes or certificates; certificates already issued stay valid. Upgrade
again and everything applies as before.

## API, MCP and webhooks

* `GET /courses/{id}` and `PUT /courses/{id}`: drip rules, quizzes and the
  certificate switch ([API reference](/api-reference/endpoints#courses)).
* `PUT /courses/{id}/quizzes/{lessonId}` and `DELETE …`: one lesson's quiz.
* `GET /courses/{id}/stats`: completion stats.
* `GET /certificates/{verifyId}`: public verify, no API key.
* MCP tools: `get_course_settings`, `update_course_settings`,
  `list_course_quizzes`, `upsert_course_quiz`, `delete_course_quiz`,
  `get_course_stats`, `verify_certificate`.
