# Creator quickstart

> Go from signing up to making your first sale on Pocketsflow in about 15 minutes.

Welcome to Pocketsflow. This quickstart walks you through the fastest path to
your first sale. By the end you'll have:

* Created your account and connected payouts.
* Published your first product or subscription.
* Tested checkout and shared your link.

  **What it costs:** a flat **2%** per sale, no monthly fee. That includes email
  marketing, affiliates, upsells, global payments, and Merchant-of-Record tax
  handling — so you don't file VAT returns for platform sales.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

* A valid **email address** you can access.
* An idea of **what you want to sell** — even a simple test product is fine.
* Basic **payout details** (for example, bank information) if payouts are
  required in your country.

## Step 1 — Sign up and explore the dashboard

    Go to `https://www.pocketsflow.com` and click **Get started for free**, then
    create an account (or **Sign in** if you have one).

    Take a quick look at:

    * The **home/dashboard** view with your high-level metrics.
    * Where you **create products or pages**.
    * Where **payout and account settings** live.

You don't need to configure everything yet — we'll set only the minimum needed
to sell. To understand how the pieces fit together, skim
[the core model](/concepts/core-model).

## Step 2 — Connect your payout method

To receive money from customers, connect a payout method.

    Go to the **Settings** or **Payouts** section of the dashboard.

  <Step title="Complete onboarding">
    Follow the prompts to confirm your country and business type (individual or
    company), provide any required identity/tax information, and add your payout
    destination (for example, a bank account).

  <Step title="Review the schedule">
    Note the payout schedule and any holding period so you know when funds
    arrive.
  </Step>

You can refine your profile later, but set up payouts **before** selling in

## Step 3 — Create your first product

    Go to the **Products** (or **Pages**) section and click **New product**.

  <Step title="Choose what to sell">
    * A **one-time product** — a guide, template, or asset pack.
    * A **subscription / membership** — recurring access to a community or course.

  <Step title="Fill in the basics">
    * **Name** — clear and benefit-oriented.
    * **Short description** — one or two sentences on the outcome.
    * **Price** — in your preferred currency. Subscriptions also set a
      **frequency** (weekly / monthly / yearly) and an optional **free trial**.

  <Step title="Add your content">
    Upload files for downloads, or add links/instructions for a course or
    community. Save the product.
  </Step>

You now have something sellable — even if it's just a simple test product.

## Step 4 — Customize your page and checkout

    Open the product and choose a [page template](/selling/page-templates) that
    matches your use case (course, guide, community, template).

  <Step title="Write the key sections">
    Headline, subheading, what's included, and social proof if you have any
    (add [text reviews](/selling/text-reviews) later).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tune the checkout">
    In [checkout settings](/selling/checkout-page): confirm currency and price,
    choose which fields you collect (name, email, etc.), and apply your brand
    colors and logo.
  </Step>

You can polish this later — for now, aim for clarity and a working flow.

## Step 5 — Test your checkout

<Note>
  Turn on **test mode** if available to run a purchase without moving real
  money. Otherwise, use a low-priced test product and your own card, then refund
  it.

    Grab the checkout or product link from the product/checkout settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Buy it as a customer">
    Open the link in an incognito/private window and complete a purchase.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the whole flow">
    Check that the order appears in your **Orders/Sales** list, the confirmation
    email arrives (if configured), and you can access the product exactly as a
    customer would.
  </Step>

If anything feels confusing, note it — you can improve copy and structure in a
later pass.

## Step 6 — Share your product

    Use your product or checkout link — or your

  <Step title="Post it where your audience is">
    Social media, your email list, your blog, or your personal site.
  </Step>

    New orders appear in your dashboard in real time.
  </Step>
