# Refer a creator

> Share your referral link. When a creator you refer pays for a plan, you get a month of your plan free.

Every Pocketsflow account has a personal referral link. Share it with other
creators: when a store you referred pays for a plan, you earn **one free month
of your own plan**.

## Your link

Open **Settings → Grow → Refer a creator**. Your link looks like
`https://www.pocketsflow.com/?ref=PF-k3x9q2m7v1ab`. Copy it, or share it to X,
LinkedIn or email from the same page.

A visitor who opens the link and signs up within 30 days is your referral (the
last referral link they clicked counts). Your
[Pocketsflow badge](/operations/pocketsflow-badge) refers stores too: both
show on the same page.

## When you earn a free month

1. **They sign up** with your link. The store shows as *Signed up*.
2. **They pay for a plan.** Their first plan payment must be a real payment
   (over \$0). The store shows as *Paying* until the 14-day refund window ends.
3. **The payment clears.** If the plan is still paid after 14 days, you earn a
   free month (*Free month earned*).

A plan that is refunded or cancelled inside the 14 days does not count. Sales
in the referred store don't count for a referral link (they do for the badge).

## How the free month is used

* **Monthly plan:** your next renewal is free. One free month per billing
  period; extra months wait for the next period.
* **Free plan:** the month waits on your account and makes the first month of
  a monthly plan free when you upgrade.
* **Yearly plan:** the month stays banked until you're on a monthly plan.

You can earn **at most 12 free months a year**, from your link and your badge
together.

## What never counts

To keep the program fair, a referral never earns when:

* it is your own store, or it looks like the same person (same email or
  company email domain, same sign-in device or network, same payout person or
  payout account);
* either store is suspended, deleted, or was found to be fraudulent.

Stores under review wait until the review ends.

## API

* `GET /referrals/me`: your link, stats and the 20 newest referrals.
* `GET /referrals/referred`: every referred store, newest first (cursor).
