# Customer CRM

> Each buyer's lifetime value after refunds, orders, products, subscriptions, emails opened, segments, private notes and tags on one page, plus a best-customers list. Pro plan and above.

The **customer CRM** (Pro plan and above) puts everything you know about a
buyer on one page, and shows who your best customers are.

## The customer page

Open **Customers** and click a buyer. Above their orders you see:

| Figure | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Lifetime value** | Everything the buyer paid you minus everything refunded, in your account currency. |
| **Orders** | Paid orders and subscription payments, refunded ones included, with the average order. |
| **Last purchase** | When they last paid you. |
| **Customer since** | When they first bought. |

Next to them:

* **Timeline**: every order, subscription payment, refund, subscription
started or canceled, and note, newest first. Click an event to open it.
* **Tags**: your own labels (`vip`, `agency`…), up to 20 per buyer. There is
one tag system: a tag you add here is added to the buyer's email contact
too (removing it takes it off), so a segment rule **Has tag**, a post sent
to a tag and your automations use it. The contact's other tags (signup
forms, imports, smart tags from segments) show underneath.
* **Private notes**: notes only you and your team see. Each note shows who
wrote it — you, the teammate's email, or "API key". Teammates can delete
their own notes; owners and admins can delete any.
* **Emails**: how many of your emails they received, opened and clicked (one
count per email), their open rate, when they last opened and clicked, and
your last three emails to them.
* **Segments**: the [audience segments](/api-reference/segments) their contact
  is in right now.
* **Products owned**: every product and subscription they paid for and did
not get refunded, with the subscription status.

## Best customers

**Customers → Best customers** lists every buyer by **lifetime value**,
**number of orders** or **last purchase**, highest first. Filter by one of
your tags or search by email, and click a row to open the buyer.

## How lifetime value is kept up to date

Each time a sale is made, refunded or disputed, that buyer's numbers are
rebuilt from their own payments within a couple of seconds. A checkout with
order bumps counts once; free claims and failed checkouts count as \$0. A
payment in another currency is converted to your account currency at the
day's rate. Test-mode sales only count in test mode.
