# Credit balances & auto-refill

> How prepaid balances work, what auto-refill does, and how to turn it off.

Some creators sell prepaid balance instead of one-off items. You pay once up
front, draw the balance down as you use the product, and — only if you opt
in — your saved card is charged automatically to top the balance back up when
it runs out.

## Auto-refill

At checkout, tick **top off automatically** to opt in. The top-off amount is
shown before you pay. When your balance hits zero:

1. Your saved card is charged **once** for the top-off amount.
2. The balance is credited and usage continues.

If the charge fails, you get an email and the balance is **paused** — no
further charges are attempted automatically, and usage stays paused until you
fix payment.

## Manage or turn off

Open your balance link (from your receipt email) to see the current balance,
turn auto-refill off at any time, or retry a failed top-off once. Changing
settings asks for your receipt email first, so a shared link alone can't flip
your consent or charge your card. Turning it
off stops all future charges immediately.
